The Park has been operational for the last nine years and currently has 84,000 sft of
wet lab space in Innovation Corridor 1,
Phases I, II & III. This includes a 3,200 sq ft
Life Sciences Incubator with fully furnished
dedicated lab space, shared equipment and an
assistance programme that is expected to benefit
innovative start-up companies and scientist entrepreneurs.
8 companies and 2 R&D centres have been given 66 acres of land on long lease to build their own facilities.
There have been 42 resident companies in the Park so far, of which 14 have graduated and currently there are 28 companies in the Park working in various areas of pharmaceuticals, chemistry and biotech. Of the present composition, 38% companies are local, 12% national, 19% are established by NRIs and the balance 31% are foreign companies. 69% of these companies are into technology/ product development, 27% are engaged in contract research and 4% in regulatory area. There is also a healthy mix in terms of the size of the companies, ranging from startups (31%) to SMEs (27%) to large companies (11%) to trans-nationals companies (31%).
